Waterproofing Bathroom from Scratch

Waterproofing Technique

Using anti-water nano additive maxilrad in mortar for tiling, stonework, and mosaics in terraces, kitchens, and bathrooms, eliminating the need for bitumen and tar.

Waterproofing Process

  • Preparation: Ensure all plumbing pipes are properly sealed and tested.
  • Mixing Mortar: Combine 200 kg of sand, 25 kg of stone powder, and 75 kg of cement. Mix thoroughly.
  • Adding Additive: Mix 4 liters of nano additive maxilrad with 40-50 liters of water and add to the mortar mixture.
  • Application: Use a mixer for a uniform blend. This mortar is for the base layer under tiles, ceramics, or stones.

Tile Installation

Mix maxilrad additive and water (1:1), then combine with cement and stone powder to form a jelly-like consistency. Apply this mix on the mortar base, then install tiles or stones.

Grouting

For grouting, mix maxilrad additive with white cement to create a thin slurry. Fill the joints completely to prevent water penetration. Clean excess material from the tile surface and finish with additional white cement and PP fibers.
